Staying Grounded
Resources for keeping your cool while staying informed.
1. Set boundaries around when, and how, you engage with the news cycle.
Don't wake up and immediately flood your brain with the doom and gloom. Don't doomscroll either. Make sure you've taken care of yourself before consciously choosing to engage with information that may otherwise be damaging to your mental health.

2. Take action to help your community.
It helps me sleep at night knowing that I've done what I can as an individual. Now, don't get it twisted, sharing an infographic on Instagram and calling it a day should not be the extent of your activism. Get out there and meet REAL people and make REAL lasting change.

3. Connect with others around you with similar views.
Sometimes it's helpful just to hear someone validate your feelings about the state of the world. This is also a great way to keep each other informed about the state of things without having to personally keep an eye on every single event.
